It seems like every year when kids go back to school, the amount of time allotted throughout the school day for physical activity gets smaller and smaller. They might visit PE once a week and have a brief recess mid-day, but that’s hardly enough to keep their activity levels high enough to stay healthy, feel alert, and be engaged in their school work. Part of being a kid is learning how to harness and expend extra energy, but, often, the school day schedule does not support this learning curve.
